Mark's background includes a degree in electrical engineering, post-graduate business and senior design responsibilities for General Electric's Aerospace Division, Siemens, and Instrumentation Labs. In addition to his management role at AAI, he services a number of sensor, other industrial technology and sciences accounts. He has been a guest speaker at Harvard University to marketing graduates and served as leader of the marketing committee of a key life sciences association Medical Development Group in Greater Boston. Mark enjoys sailing and attending baseball games in his spare time.
A. Richard Hersum
Before his chairmanship at AAI, Dick directed the advertising and PR efforts for semiconductor corporation Transitron and its 16 subsidiaries. His extensive experience includes Raytheon and Automatic Sprinkler Corp. of America. He is past Director of the Business/Professional Advertising Association and a member of the Advertising Club of Boston. Dick is an avid golfer.
Rick combines creative punch with deep knowledge of graphics and digital tools. Rick has design and development experience for several technology and other companies handling creative concepts, layouts, web design and various modes of digital asset creation. Rick studied graphic design and computer science, at New England School of Art and Design and Harvard University Extension School respectively.
Steve is a creative force. Give Steve a verbal sketch of what needs to be portrayed and whether its a website, ad, brochure, etc, he will produce a look and feel which has clients exclaiming, “That’s it!”. Steve’s work has covered the gamut from technology to life sciences to retail for many clients with household recognized names and smaller niche companies. Steve enjoys playing guitar at an occasional weekend gig and writing and producing soundtracks for film, TV and industrial presentations.
Karen has years of experience having worked for DDB Worldwide in New York City and a small local agency before joining AAI. Karen’s dedication to her clients, pleasant personality, creativity and attention to detail are attributes clients appreciate. Karen enjoys attending her children’s events in various athletic and drama interests ... when she can pry some time out of her busy schedule.
